Sleepy Sun.
Sleepy sun,
And a promise in the air,
It seems,
Of brighter days and fresher air.
A taste of what's to come,
A day without rain,
To demonstrate that the future can be bright,
If we let it.
It's a sleepy sort of sun, today.
Whispering hope and dreams,
Inviting you to fall asleep,
In the arms of spring's early arrival,
Even if it's only here for a while.
You can't help but doze off
Into the land of dreams and promises,
That only a day like this could give entry to.
The fresh air with a hint of 'new' does away with just enough cobwebs,
To keep you in a dreamlike state, fending off any nightmares,
For a while.
And a promise in the air,
It seems,
Of brighter days and fresher air.
A taste of what's to come,
A day without rain,
To demonstrate that the future can be bright,
If we let it.
It's a sleepy sort of sun, today.
Whispering hope and dreams,
Inviting you to fall asleep,
In the arms of spring's early arrival,
Even if it's only here for a while.
You can't help but doze off
Into the land of dreams and promises,
That only a day like this could give entry to.
The fresh air with a hint of 'new' does away with just enough cobwebs,
To keep you in a dreamlike state, fending off any nightmares,
For a while.
