19. Transformation
Transformation tends to come as the wind blows, from all directions and whenever it pleases. You don't get to choose transformation, it just blows over you, through you, whether the timing is convenient or not. That's the thing with transformation, it causes you to adapt. It enhances your ability to adapt to all kinds of situations.
Transformation will sneak up on you when you're too busy looking at your next assignment or your next shift or your next phone call or your next break. It'll leave subtle clues all throughout your week, dropping petals as a flower does, sometimes one, sometimes more. It'll happen in the most unlikely of places or areas in your life and once it's started it won't let go. It'll invade your dreams and leave you gasping for air when you wake up to find that the future reality of your dream world hasn't happened yet, no matter how much you yearn for it. It'll leave you surprised at how your desires have changed and cause your mind to spin because you've changed and it's... good? Very good, in fact!
Transformation doesn't listen to social norms or stereotypes. It laughs in the face of those that would try and stop it. It causes you to begin to chuckle slowly in their faces also as it redefines your whole internal dictionary. It'll leave you yearning for things to such an extent that if you think about those things too much you'll start to feel the hole in your chest where those things will reside, one day. It'll teach you that love matters more and that Love will save you, and that Love has it's own plan for love.
It'll teach you that Love is patient and love is patient and so you must be patient, too. It'll teach you that closeness is ok and vulnerability can be safe and that even though every experience in your life may have taught you otherwise... trust is something normal, something you can have, something you can give. Transformation gives you life and hope.
