[From the archives] Can you see her?
Date unknown, written 3+ years ago. I'm fairly sure this is the first poem I ever really wrote.
Look at that girl
That girl over there,
That girl with the long and shiny brown hair
She always seemed happy
With a smile on her face
Until one day, that smile was replaced
The smile went away
She became so sad
And her friends asked her why
Her face looked so mad
She turned to her friends
Her eyes going teary
And mumbled with a sigh
“it’s nothing, really!”
some friends dismissed it
thinking all was ok
little did they know
what went on in her days
she began to get desperate
didn’t know what to do
was afraid to call out
“help, I need you!”
she then turned to cutting
to ease the pain
but instantly felt stupid
and saw there was no gain
but the clouds stayed grey
she thought it would never end
She called out for
The help of some friends
And together they helped her
See that there was an end
She’s on a tough journey
The road is rough
But now she knows
Her God will always be enough
Look at that girl
That girl over there,
That girl with the long and shiny brown hair
She always seemed happy
With a smile on her face
Until one day, that smile was replaced
The smile went away
