There is darkness
But as night turns to day
And the sun rises
Light always follows the darkness

The darkness will consume you
If you let it
It will take you over
Lie to you
Convince you that there is no escape

Darkness does not last forever
That is the natural order of things
How God meant it to be
He will not let you suffer alone
He wants to come and set you free

Cages keep you trapped
Keep you in where you don’t belong
But cages keep you safe
You can’t be set free
Unless you’re willing to be

The darkness doesn’t stay forever
